A fairly new entry in the land speed racing field, GusGus Land Speed Racing hailing out of Italy. To calculate the speed of a motor vehicle official record is as follows:
The average speed recorded along a given segment of a mile is detected in two consecutive steps to be carried out within a set time limit.
The two miles on the average speeds detected in the two steps are in turn mediated and the result is the speed of the record.
Do not apply so impromptu top speeds but requires consistent and repeatable speed performance.
The first year (2011) to participate in racing Bonneville Speed Week is giving Fabio Montani and his team great satisfaction:
The world record for the category, with a speed of 483,377 km / h (300,357 mph). The records obtained consecrates GUS GUS Olympus of Italian car which speeds faster than ever, and the first flag to get a car speed record on the Bonneville Salt Flats in the premier class and giving to Fabio Montani the prestigious “Life Membership” in ‘exclusive CHAPTER 300 the small section of the Bonneville 200 MPH Club for drivers who exceeded the speed of 300 mph.
Just for the record, the peak speed recorded and certified by the timekeeper was 309 975 (km / h 498.854)
